CLIENT RIGHTS

You have the right to receive high quality, ethical care from this service. We strive to treat everybody with respect regardless of where they come from, what they look like or how they identify. You can expect open communication and a willingness to accommodate your specific needs within reasonable expectations.

PSYCHOLOGY code of conduct

Psychologists in Australia must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and abide by the Psychology Board’s Code of Conduct. The Code sets the specific standards for ethical practice expected of psychologists in Australia. It is available online and a copy can be provided to you if needed.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome you to be an active participant in your health care. It is your responsibility to provide accurate information about your current situation and be respectful toward staff. We often see clients during stressful moments in their lives. We offer compassion and understanding to clients. However, we do not accept any forms of violence, aggression or threatening behaviour toward staff.

FEEDBACK & QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

We welcome client input into how we deliver care. We appreciate compliments and complaints equally. We strive to review our policies and procedures regularly. We use the guidelines of professional and regulatory bodies including AHPRA and the Australian Psychological Society (APS) to provide optimal care.
